Little Updates: December 2012
Hi everyone, I hope you had a wonderful healthy Christmas and New Year. I know this blog post is a little bit late but over the holiday period I decided to take a break from writing blog posts. So now I am back I will be posting this blog post, My Crohn's in 2012 post and My Goals for 2013 this week, now onto today's blog post.
December was a bit of an up and down month health wise. At the beginning of the month I was unable to eat because my oesophageal stricture was narrowed again so I was feeling tired a lot of the time and my mood wasn't that great.
I got a phone call in the second week of December to say that they had got a date for my oesophageal dilation which was the 14th of December but the day before I was due to go in I got a phone call at 5pm from one of the radiographer's that work's in the x-ray theatre to say that there had been a mistake and that there was no list for the Friday afternoon but she did say that they had resheduled it for the following Friday. The only problem with that date was it was the last Friday before Christmas so I thought that there was no chance that it would be done because a lot of people would have decided to take the day off.
So the following Friday came and I hadn't had a phone call to say it was cancelled so I made my way to the hospital, I was really trying not get my hopes up because they have cancelled it at 2pm before, but bang on 2pm the orderly came to take me to x-ray theatre, I was so happy because it meant I would be able to have my Christmas dinner for the first time in 3 years. Everything went well apart from when I was in recovery, I started to burp really badly and then ended up with the hiccups, which made it even more sore but nothing was going to ruin my happiness
The next week was brilliant I was able to have a normal Christmas and I was so grateful that I was able to sit at the dining room table with the rest of my family. The next few day's after Christmas I just chilled out and relaxed because I was very tired because all the festive fun had taken a lot out of me.
So that was my December, I would really like to know how your December was so please leave a comment below.
