So today I had my wound check at the hospital with the stoma and wound nurse, I had to take two buses to get there but it was okay becauseI my mum gave me her bus pass so it didn’t cost about £10 to get there. It went as well as it good of done, the wound nurse is not sure what they can do anymore because the wound is not a normal wound, it is all spongy and a wound shouldn’t be like that.
So after being at the hospital I went into town to have a look round the shops. I went into one of the jewellers to have a look at the Michael Kors watches because I really want one for my christmas but they are all too big for my tiny wrist so I’m going to have to rethink what I want for my christmas.

I seem to have beaten my insomnia this week and I am sooooooooooooo happy. The hours that I am falling asleep and waking up is not ideal but at least I have been getting 10 hours sleep.
So as all you IBD suffers know sometimes when a good thing happens a bad thing sometimes happens, well that is what has happened to me unfortunately. My oesophageal stricture has decided to stop me from eating a lot of solid food :-( but I am still able to eat pureed foods, soup and cakes. I must look on the positive side though, it has stayed opened for longer this time, normally it only stays open for a week and a half but this time it has stayed open for three weeks.

So for the past couple of days I have been trying to sort out a few health things. So on Thursday I phoned the IBD nurse to find out why I have never heard about my small bowel MRI plus I wanted to find out if they wanted to do another oesophageal dilation because the only thing I can eat is soup and soup is not really that good for my stoma because it goes in one end and straight out the other. I also tried to try and track down a phone number for my community dieitian, but two phone calls later I still had not been able to get the right phone number.
On Friday morning I got a phone call from the IBD nurse to tell me that if I don’t get an appointment letter in the next two weeks to phone her back, I also got told that they are going to do another oesophageal dilaition sooner rather than later so I really hope I get it done before Christmas because I would really like to have a Christmas dinner this year. I still didn’t manage to get hold of the right dietitian but I have another phone number to try so hopefully on Monday I will manage to get hold of her.
On Friday evening I went across to a friends house because she said that I could play multi-player Call of Duty Balck Ops II with her and I really enjoyed it so I can’t wait to get the new Black Ops game.
