YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!!!
Hello fellow IBD Warrior's, I hope you all had a nice weekend. Today I am needing your help to make a change.
Ulcerative Colitis suffer Helen Thompson has set up an e-petition to try and get the UK Government to reverse their decision on only giving Ulcerative Colitis patient's 3 rescue doses of Infliximab (Remicade).
This was something I was not aware of, I honestly thought that patients with Ulcerative Colitis had the same access to Infliximab as Crohn's patients did. I understand that Crohn's and Colitis are not the same illness but if Infliximab is a drug that is going to help patients with Colitis get into remission and stay in remission they should have the same access to it as Crohn's suffer's.
This is the link to e-petition and I strongly urge you to sign it: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/65602
The lady who set up this position is on twitter so if you would like to follow her then her user name is @Helst.
That is it for today's blog post, thank you very much for reading and until next time....

"Reverse the decision of only allowing/funding 3 rescue therapy doses of Infliximab for the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis in severely active cases (TA163 of NICE) & allow it to be used for maintenance of remission & control of this chronic illness."
