Health Update: April 2013
Hi everyone I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. As some of you know if you follow me on twitter and facebook I was in hospital on Friday to get a few things done so I thought why not write a blog post.
So on Friday (19th April) I went into hospital to get another oesophageal dilation done under x-ray guidance and an ultrasound of my PEG tube site because it has been causing me some problems recently.
On Friday morning I went into the hospital for 10am because they wanted to get an ultrasound of my PEG tube done in the morning because I was getting the dilation in the afternoon.
The ultrasound went as well as could be expected but I was unable to get any results from the scan because the radiographer wasn't a 100% sure what was going on. The scan showed that there might me a slight collection where the bumper (the bumper is the part that is in my stomach) is but as I said the radiographer wasn't a 100% sure and she wanted to compare it to a normal ultrasound.
In the afternoon I went down to x-ray theatre to get my dilation under general anaesthetic and everything went fine. They didn't have too much trouble getting it dilated open again which was good because I wasn't in to much pain after getting it done but I despite them having no problems I still had to spend the night in hospital.
So I got home on the Saturday but last few days have been pretty rough the muscles in my ribcage, back and legs are all stiff plus I have been very tired but I am sure it will settle down in the next couple of days.
If you would like me to do a blog post about oesophageal dilation's then just leave a comment down below, thank you for reading.
