My Second Crohn's flare up - Part 2

Hi everyone I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Today's blog post is part 2 of My Second Crohn's Flare Up (I am really sorry that it has taken me so long post it).

If you remember I ended the first part by telling you that doctors thought I had a fistula so that is were I will starting off.

The morning after the doctors did there ward round and said that the best thing do to would be for the surgeons to see me beacause they were the only people who could do anything about it. So a couple of days later I was discharged from hospital because the surgeons would see me at a clinic.

The medicine I was discharged home with...
  • Prednisolone
  • Pentasa
  • Azathioprine
  • Metronidazole
  • Docusate
  • Paracetamol
  • Gaviscon Advance
  • Anusol
  • Cavalon

So I got my date for my surgical appointment and when I went into the clinic they said that the best thing to do would be to have a coloscopy because it would be the best way to find out what was going on. So at the end of May I went into have my coloscopy and it showed that I had an anal stricture and they couldn't see a fistula.

For the next year they gave me medication, they tried 6-mercaptopurine, infliximab, methotrexate and they also did anal dilation's every couple of month's but none of it worked so the descision was made that I should have surgey for a colostomy.

That is the end of part 2, I will try and post part 3 as soon as possible, thanks for reading.
