Crohn's Quine Diary Roundup: 11th - 17th November 2013
Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. It's been a little while since I last did a Crohn's Quine diary roundup but I am now back to doing regular entries, so here is the diary entries from the 11th -17th of November.
Tuesday 12th November
So it has been just over a month since I wrote my last diary entry and I am finally back to being able to function after having really bad depression in October.
Life is of course is not straight forward though, when I finally beat the stupid depression I end up with my oesophageal stricture's becoming so bad that I am unable to eat. It has been a good run though it lasted 3 or 4 months, I can't exactly remember when I last had a dilation. Since the end of last week I have been trying to keep myself as busy as possible so that I don't think about how hungry I am, there is nothing worse then feeling hungry.
The next couple weeks are going to be really difficult for me as it will take some time for the feeling of hunger to go away but I have had done this many times before so I know I will be make it through.
Thursday 14th November
So today has been a rough day, let's just say that I am not coping well with the whole not being able to eat thing plus it also doesn't help the mood when you know that you have a hospital appointment tomorrow. To be honest I don't know why I am going to see my surgeon because if it is anything like the previous ones they ain't going to do anything with my 5 year old surgical wound.
Sometimes I really get fed up with going to hospital appointments because I never ever seem to get anywhere with them, it's a waste of my time and their time.
Friday 15th November
So today I saw my colorectal (bowel) surgeon and it went pretty much as expect. At the beginning of next year she is going to take me in as a day case to clean up the wound and take away the over granulation tissue, also when I am in she is going to try and find the fistula that showed up on the MRI scan.
Today when I was at my appointment I also mentioned that I didn't want anymore oesophageal dilation's but I was told that it was not a good idea to stop doing them. So when I got home this afternoon I phoned my GI consultant's secretary to get another oesophageal dilation arranged, fingers crossed that I will get it done before Christmas.
That's all for this weeks diary roundup, if you would like to see my diary entries as soon as I post them then follow my Crohn's Quine diary. Until the next blog post....
