So since Sunday my day’s have been pretty up and down, I am still able to eat and drink which is really good but my bowel is not coping that well with solid food. Every night I have been woken up with really bad stomach pains and then I am unable to get back to sleep until I have passed the poo. Last night I put my PEG feed for the first time since last Wednesday in the hope that it would make my stoma output a bit more watery. I thought that if it was a bit more watery then I wouldn’t be in so much pain but it didn’t work, so today I decided to reduce the amount of that food I was eating and I must admit that it did help but that is not what I want.

I am very pleased to say that I have had a very good day, my stomach has been a lot better, my ileostomy is not as sluggish as it was and I also managed to eat more than yesterday. The only thing that was bad about today was I didn’t eat anything healthy which is not very good. I have been trying really hard to stick to a healthy diet as much as possible but today I just completely fell off the wagon. Today’s food was…
  • A Sticky Rib Pot Noodle
  • A shop bought pasta pot
  • Cheese and onion crisps
  • Two packets of wotsits
  • Two cupcakes
  • Chips and curry sauce
I must try harder when it comes to my diet because I need all vitamins and minerals that I
can get.

Today I am grateful for…
  • Being able to eat
  • Being able to drink
  • Having a good day
  • Not feeling depressed

28th October 2012

Well this weekend has been interesting it’s went from being really good to being really crap.

Friday was a brilliant day I had a pizza and dvd night with two friends. It was really nice to have a relaxed evening catching up with friends, it made me feel like a normal person for once. Saturday was a pretty chilled out day, at 6am I was awoken by my cat who decided to start howling and after I had played with her for a bit I decided to go back to bed but I couldn’t get back to sleep. I have been finding that my insomia is getting worse again from the time I got up on Friday to 7am this morning I only got 5 hours sleep, I did get to sleep at about 8am this morning and ended up sleeping all day which means I probably will not sleep tonight. I am really get sick of this insomnia now, it has been going on for 4 years now and no matter how many times I go to the doctor and complain about it they never do anything. Nowbody seems to reliase how important it is for a crohn’s suffer to a good amount of sleep, no wonder none of my wounds heal.

Today I am grateful for…
  • Being able to eat
  • Being able to drink
  • Not having a sore stomach
