My second Crohn's flare up - Part 1
Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good day. Today's blog is about my second flare up of Crohns disease.
I am going to split this post into three parts as this flare up lasted for three years.
My second Crohns flare up happened in the Winter of 2007, but at first it didn't seem that bad but over the months the flare up became worse and buy late February I had to be admitted to hospital because I was always being sick and was having rigors.
That hospital stay was my very first stay in the adult hospital and I must admit it was very scary and it didn't help that my consultant had decided to retire and I didn't know any of the other doctors, but I was lucky enough to be put in a hopital room with two women who were hospital veterans and they kind of took me under their wing.

Within a couple of days I was feeling slightly better, I had been put on fluids and was started on steroids and antibiotics. After spending nearly a week in hospital I was feeling better but one night I went to the toilet and there was all this blood and it wouldn't stop, when the doctors examined me they suspected that I had developed a fistula.
So everyone that is the end of part 1, I will try and post part 2 within the next couple of weeks, thanks for reading.
